Cookies Policy
Last updated: 11 April 2026
We use cookies to keep the Service working and (optionally) to understand how it is used. This page explains what each cookie does and how you can manage them.
Essential cookies (always active)
These cookies are required for the Service to function. You cannot disable them without breaking the site.
keparat_session_id: tracks your anonymous session so we can count trial usage (5 free translations per day). 30-day expiry. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax.laravel_session: keeps you logged in once you sign in with OAuth.XSRF-TOKEN: protects against cross-site request forgery.cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choice from the banner.
Analytics (how this actually works)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Service. GA4 is loaded on every page, but it operates in Google Consent Mode v2 with consent defaulting to denied.
In denied mode, GA4 sends what Google calls "cookieless pings". These are basic page-view beacons that tell us how many people visited which pages. No cookies are set. No personal identifiers are stored. No user-level tracking happens. These pings are also what allows Google's own tag validator to detect that GA4 is installed.
If you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner, we upgrade the
consent state to granted. At that point GA4 starts setting its
_ga and _ga_* cookies (2-year expiry) and performing
full event attribution across your session. Your choice is remembered via the
cookie_consent cookie for 12 months.
If you click "Essential only" (or simply never interact with the banner), consent stays at denied. No analytics cookies are set, no personal data is stored, and your page visits are counted only in aggregate via cookieless pings.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks. We do not track you across other websites.
_ga: Google Analytics session identifier. 2-year expiry._ga_*: Google Analytics property-specific tracking. 2-year expiry.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks. We do not track you across other websites.
How to manage cookies
You can clear all cookies by clearing your browser's site data for Keparat.my. When
the cookie consent banner is live, you'll be able to choose between "Accept all"
and "Essential only". Your choice is remembered for 12 months via the
cookie_consent cookie.
If you use an ad blocker or privacy-focused browser (Brave, DuckDuckGo, etc.), it may already block analytics cookies automatically. That's fine; the Service works normally without them.
